Intersolve builds the infrastructure behind it. Using our own transaction platforms, we power gift cards, loyalty programmes, social cards, and wallets. Since 1996, Intersolve has grown into a leading provider of programmable money solutions. These milestones mark our story.
Founding of Intersolve
1996
Started in a former MAVO school in Lunteren, initially in the chemistry classroom, later expanding to the physics classroom.
First loyalty client
2003
Launch of our first international loyalty programme for Stayokay hostels in the Netherlands, Austria and Australia.
First POS implementation
2004
Introduction of e-vouchers (mobile top-up) at HEMA, connecting POS systems to our voucher distribution platform.
First gift card
2004
Delivery of a multi-country gift card for Hunkemöller, one of the first gift cards in the Netherlands.
First digital social card
2009
Launch of the Rotterdam Pass, the first digital social card, enabling municipalities to switch from paper vouchers to digital administration.
EMI licence acquisition
2012
Expanded our regulatory capabilities through the acquisition of FEET.
Move to Woudenberg office
2014
Relocated to a highly energy-efficient building, formerly a RABO regional office.
Launch Trade platform
2015
Introduction of B2B propositions to support business clients.
€1 billion processed
2017
For the first time, over €1 billion in gift cards was processed via our platform.
VISA Principal Member licence
